CURRICULUM VITAE

My name is LJUBOMIR SAMARDZIJA.I was born on 9 September 1950 in Bijeljina.I am citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

I graduated from the Belgrade School of Medical Assistants in 1971,after that completed studies of defence and Protection from Political Science College in Zagreb and obtained the title Professor.

Since 1974 I had a full-time job with local authorities of Bihac Municipality as head of Civil Defence.At that time I was interested in protection and rescue jobs and among professionals published a study relating ti the use of special-purpose units of Civil Defence in case of natural and other disasters in a small area,when their funcionality and competence in short period of time must be manifested.(Expiriences from earthquakes in Nevesinje and Monte Negro,early eighties).Based on these expirience I can be a consultant in making plans for protection from natural disasters at country level (e.g.making plans for fire prevention in Mediterranean countries,like the recent case of big fires in Australia).

Given that I have been preoccupied with protection of environment for which I consider that a man can do very much during his normal career,in 1990 I took out a patent - model of Hanging conteiner "DELFIN" for collecting of floating waste along coast and in harbours.After that I protected my patent - model Ship for collecting of naphta and other floating waste from the sea "NEKTON" at the Patent Institute of former Yugoslavia.The ship i.e. method of its operation ( procedure of collecting of discharged naphta ) can also be applied in rivers.

For the patent of the abouve mentioned ship I was awarded sliver medal at fair of patents and innovations "BRUSSELS EUREKA" in 1994.I was not able to participate in the exhibition due to war in my country.According to the statements of our consular representative,at the same fair, an acknowledgement was given to me by the Association of Innovators of Republic of Austria for an original solution presented by my model of the ship for collecting naphta.

Thereupon I prepared the proocedure with trademark The system of following,monitoring and elimination of consequences as results of disasters produced by poisonous and other kinds of material in the sea.Just like the ship,method of work is applicable on big rivers and along big communications where transport of poisonous and other dangerous materials is conveyed,and which need continous monitoring and timely taking measures as soon as an accident happens.For example,by applying this method it cannot hapend that,in case an oil-tanker is agound,a captain decides to change the route and big quantity of oil runs out because of stranding.

I am now about taking out new innovations - the recipe and procedure of preparing a healthy DRINK based on quite natural raw materials;an innovation in production of handy measuring instruments and also an instruments-indicator of dangerous drive.I can't speak about them any more because their patent protection is in process.

I have been a member of the non-gouvermental organization "Unski smaragdi" ( Una Emaralds ) since the very beginning of the activity of the assosiations in the area.
